Description: The Gamelatron Roh Ageng is a sonic kinetic sculpture installation by Aaron Taylor Kuffner features 37 instruments: 2 Steel and Brass 120cm diameter gongs, 3 Bronze hanging gongs, 5 kempul, 5 kenong, 1 kempli, 7 demung keys, 7 saron keys, 7 peking keys. These are made up of various powder coated steel and welded brass mounting sculptures, anodized aluminum with horn and wood electromechanical mallets, with physical computing system that plays an original composition created by the artist. Seen here installed on-site, as a taste of the full room Gamelatron experience known as the Sanctuary. This was part of "The Magic Hour", a gallery walk in Lower Manhattan’s Seaport by Black Gotham. This exhibiiton ran from August 6 - September 30th, 2021.
